About Us
The Network for Access to Education (NAE) (formerly Council of Educators of Toronto (CET)) is a multi-partner initiative comprised of representatives from Toronto's colleges, universities, school boards, the United Way Greater Toronto, and the City of Toronto, all of whom are dedicated to enhancing access to post secondary education and training (PSET) for those who, without intervention and support, would not otherwise be able to access PSET in Toronto.
We are here for both youth and young adults. It is important, even for elementary school and high school youth, to understand the value and importance of PSET and what is available for them to make PSET accessible, affordable, and successful. And for adults who have not completed secondary school and/or do not have the necessary courses and/or grades for PSET admission, it is important to know about the multiple transitional and bridging programs and pathways that are available.
The NAE promotes access to post-secondary education and training (PSET) by:
- Providing a curated and comprehensive information platform for PSET access and pathways for adults seeking to enroll in a college, university, or apprenticeship program, and requiring guidance and support;
- Providing a curated and comprehensive information platform for PSET access and pathways motivating youth to stay connected to education and to value the importance and possibilities of PSET;
- Offering an ongoing series of forums, events, workshops, and training, including information on programs, finances, and navigating the system, tailored to specific needs; and
- Supporting a community of practice among NAE members and service providers through partnerships, the sharing of best practices, networking opportunities and a range of tools and resources.
