George Brown College’s Pre-Apprenticeship Training Programs are free, skills-based programs that enable students to explore and develop the essential skills of high-demand trades. Between study at the college, work placements and other supports, our pre-apprenticeship programs will help you develop your job skills and trade readiness.

The HYPE program at Centennial College has given many young people new confidence to access post-secondary education by helping to overcome the economic and social barriers that may have interfered with school attendance in the past.  Through the development of relationships, HYPE provides a supportive and inclusive environment for youth aged 17-29, primarily living in underserved neighbourhoods, to explore educational and career pathways.

Free Postsecondary Preparation for Youth 18 to 30

Not having a high school diploma can make pursuing college, an apprenticeship or finding a job challenging. Seneca’s free Youth to Postsecondary (Y2P) program can help you to earn equivalent credentials in just eight months without going back to high school.

The School of Gender, Sexuality & Women's Studies at York University offers academic bridging courses for women who want to upgrade their writing and speaking skills and explore the possibility of university study.

Bridging courses, for many participants, make the seemingly impossible, possible. Individuals who would not otherwise consider, or who may not have had access to university studies discover that they can develop the skills and the confidence to continue their education.
