PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

Humber offers a bridging program for internationally trained immigrants with education and experience in information technology, computer science or engineering (computer, electronics or electrical). Benefit from cutting edge training that will help you gain industry-specific concepts and skills in topics, which may include: computer networking, information security, installation and configuration of server(s) in a virtualized environment with an emphasis on operating system(s).

REGISTRATION DETAILS

Please note: The upcoming cohort of this bridging program will be delivered completely online and can be accessed from anywhere within Ontario. Classes take place evenings and weekends.

Equipment & Device Requirements
You will need a laptop with the following specifications, or higher, for the successful completion of this program:

  • Intel Quad-core i7 (with serial number 7700 or above)
  • Microsoft Windows-based Operating System
  • RAM: At least 16 - 24 GB (DDR4)
  • Storage: at least 500 GB (SSD preferred)

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Admission Requirements
This program is open to internationally trained professionals who:

  • Are residents of Ontario
  • Are Permanent Residents, Refugee Claimants, Convention Refugees or Canadian Citizens
    • OR Residing in Ontario under the Canada-Ukraine Authorization for Emergency Travel (CUAET) measure
  • Have educational qualifications outside of Canada with a minimum equivalency to a Canadian degree or diploma in computer science or related
  • Have previous work experience outside of Canada in information technology, computer science or engineering (computer, electronics or electrical)
  • Are underemployed (work experience in Canada is below their international education/experience)
  • Possess a current Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment at a minimum Level 7/8 (Consider OSLT if you do not meet this requirement)
