PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

In an effort to encourage more girls to consider studies, research and careers in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) fields, U of T offers Girls in STEM, a 1-day conference and a monthly club to encourage girls in Grades 6 - 8 to consider these subject areas. Workshops will be led by female members of various departments throughout the year and most will have a hands-on component to them. The materials covered in the class will be separate from standard school curriculum and pre-requisite knowledge is not required.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

This program is open to girls currently in grades 6-8 who wish to apply; space is limited and acceptance is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
