PROGRAM DESCRIPTION

The Academic Bridging Program bridges the gap between your prior education and the skills necessary for first-year university courses. When you successfully complete the Academic Bridging Program, you gain admission to the Faculty of Arts & Science at the University of Toronto with credit(s) toward your degree. If you have been away from high school and/or college studies for at least two years, you may be eligible for admission to our program! Part-time and full-time options available. 

REGISTRATION DETAILS

  • Intakes for Fall (September-April) and winter (January-April) sessions. Admission to the Academic Bridging Program is processed on a rolling basis – applicants are encouraged to apply well in advance of the deadline to ensure that there is space available in the program.

Please note that the Academic Bridging Program is delivered in person at the University of Toronto's St. George campus. There is no online option and students must be able to attend classes on campus in order to be eligible for admission to the program.

Fees

The approximate cost of the Academic Bridging Program for the 2023-2024 academic session is as follows:

  • $1,800 for the part-time option
  • $5,500 for the full-time options
  • a non-refundable $95 application fee

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

To qualify for admission, you must:

  • be at least 19 years of age by September 1 of the year in which you apply
  • be a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Convention Refugee or Protected Person
  • be away from formal, full-time education (high school and/or college) for at least two years. If you have previously attempted university courses, you are not eligible for admission.
